Change-oriented online therapy with a licensed clinical psychologist
Meet Amy Look, PhD, LP
You’re used to being the one who carries the mental load and keeps it all together.
Let’s create a space where your needs are the priority.
My Therapeutic Approach
Therapy with me is nonjudgmental and genuine; crying, laughing, and swearing are all equally welcome. I bring my authentic self to the relationship and that is my hope for you, too. I’m a queer ally, neurodivergent-affirming, and work in a culturally sensitive and trauma-informed manner. My goal is to create a space where you feel safe enough to stop focusing on others’ needs and start connecting with what really matters to you.
Venting feels good in the moment, but only gets you so far. Our sessions will focus on developing insight, learning coping strategies, and building forward momentum. I’ll likely ask you to complete assignments outside of session to practice using the interventions that we discuss. After all, most of life happens outside of our therapy space!
I view therapy as a collaborative process. Together, we’ll build on your strengths and introduce practical strategies to help you navigate challenges with greater confidence. My goal isn’t to keep you in therapy long-term, but to support you in gaining the tools and clarity to live the life you truly want.
When I’m not working, I enjoy making pottery, caring for my indoor plant jungle, visiting National Parks, and spending time with family. I also have two cats who occasionally join my sessions and would love to meet you!
